News and events for fall 2018

My oh my, how this year has flown by!

I keep thinking that it is newly 2018 but here we are technically in fall. I guess throwing a wedding and getting married can do that to a year: fill it up with so many memories and big moments that you lose track of time. I haven’t spent as much time in the studio this year, but I’ve been gleaning plenty of inspiration from traveling and enjoying nature with my husband. We just returned from two weeks in Europe visiting dear friends and photographers Derek and Alia Linz. We saw Swiss mountains, Amsterdam (with an impressive ceramics collection at the Rijksmuseum), and even my brother and niece living in Germany.

Now I’m back home, in the studio, and in a pottery-making frenzy to restock my inventory for two upcoming shows! I cut back on my number of shows this year, but the two shows I am doing are top notch :

  • Nest Fest 2018

  • 5th annual Durham County Pottery Tour

    • Nov 10-11 in Durham, NC

    • I am thrilled to open up my studio again for this free tour of local Durham potters!

    • Maps and more info here

I would love to see you in person at one of these art-filled events.  You can always shop online in my ETSY shop.  I will be posting images of my new work on Instagram and Facebook.  Follow me so you can see what I'm up to.

Enjoy every little moment and remember to slow down this fall.
Cheers!
Katie
