hanging planter
This is made with wild clay that I dig here in central North Carolina. I use this local red clay to make a liquid “slip” that is poured into custom plaster molds that I form in-house. This process creates pottery that is surprisingly lightweight. It is coated with a special glossy glaze that I make specifically for this wild clay. The bare clay base is treated with water and oil-resistant Liquid Quartz food safe sealer.
The macrame hanger is knotted by hand to custom fit the planter. It is made from cotton rope made here in North Carolina.
26” length
5” diameter
